Night Guards

A professionally fitted night guard is a great way to address many problems that can be caused by tooth grinding and/or clenching at night. Since not all jaw problems are treated in the same way, we will assess your jaw joints and teeth, as well as the muscles of your head and neck to create an appliance to address your specific needs.

Night guards are used to prevent or treat:

• tooth sensitivity
• morning headaches
• pain in the face or jaw
• heavy tooth wear associated with night time grinding or clenching
• damage to delicate dental work

The Process

Impressions of the upper and lower teeth are taken at the first appointment. At the second appointment, the night guard is tested for fit and adjusted as necessary.
